Travel Update
In the past year, we used a school donation to help kids in Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), and Malaysia. We also visited kids in Lappland (Norway) and presented a
Photography and Literacy workshop to Yu'pik kids in Alaska. See What's New for our 2008 schedule.
What We Do
Photojournalist and educator
Joan Sara Klatchko uses her photography to tell powerful stories of children: the cultures that define them, the global issues that affect them, the universal themes that connect them.
How We Do It
Kids Across the World develops these photo-stories into print/digital educational
programs/books, school assembly programs, museum exhibitions, interactive videoconferencing
events, Photography and Literacy workshops, professional
development and international projects.
And Why
To help young people better
understand other cultures and global issues
– and the fundamental things that connect all
kids across the world.
